Yesterday my dad gave me a bag of freshly picked green beans. I brought them home in my backpac and when I unpacked the bag I was in my bedroom so the bag ended up on my bed. Bob could not resist the lure of a fresh picked green bean so he helped himself! ( Bob is a freak! )
Please ignore the date stamp, these were taken in January 2008. ( My boys )
sorry about that last one, forgot how to do it. This should be better. ( Bob, Kenji, Alex )

I normally process freaky weirdness and then forget about "it". This time around I find that I cannot forget about "it". "It" being the murders this past Saturday in Seattle. I woke up (slightly hung over as I went to see a blues band friday night and had a couple of dirty martini's) Saturday morning and logged onto the internets and onto Yahoo! News. There I read a short paragraph about 6 murders and a suicide in a house in Seattle. No further information. About an hour later I get an email from my sister with an attached news story. This one had more information. The house is a blue and white bungalow in the Capital Hill neighborhood. (Hmmm, I used to live in a blue and white bungalow on the Hill, wonder if I know the house?) So I continue reading and see that the King Country tax record shows the house as currently owned by one Gregg D. Doyle. HOLY SHIT!!! That is 2112 Republican Street!!! THE HOUSE OF BURNING LOVE!!! Fuck no! Dear Goddess in heaven, no it can't be!! Not that beautiful house!!! NO NO NO!!!! I now scour the internets in a information seeking frenzy. I must know all I can. I must see pictures. I still can't believe it is the house my brother used to own with Gregg. The house that Karen, Jerry and I lived in for a year. The house that hundreds of friends (and strangers) in Seattle came to party in. The house that celebrated Leather's 30th birthday, Karen's 30th birthday, Karen's graduation, Jerry's graduation, a Persian Feast for my parents, countless Orphan Thanksgivings...The House of Burning Love. Tears are dripping down my face as I type this. My heart aches for those poor kids and their friends and families. How awful to have to experience this type of horror. Seattle is a safe city. I left my door unlocked many a night and never freaked out. That something of this magnitude would happen in Seattle is shocking. It hurts to know that the city I love would be witness to such carnage. This one hurts people, this one hurts.

I finally got around to downloading pics of the kittys from when I first moved to FL. These pics were taken at the condo that I lived in for the first few months I lived in FL. The tacky furniture is not mine :) ( Bob, Kenji & Alex )

As kattgrrl said, we have been very busy here in Seattle. I accepted a new postion a the University of WA and laughingtiger has been in FL doing some contract work for the past two weeks. Everyone here is so nice and I am sorry that we have not posted pics of our boys recently. In order to remedy that situation, I give to you a few images of the boys snuggling. ( Enjoy! )
Well after much hemming and hawing, we decided to get another kitten today. Before Bob and Alex came into my life, I was owned by a loving siamese by the name of Buddha. I adopted him from a friend about a month after I moved to Seattle. Sadly, Buddha passed away 2 years ago. Since then, I have craved having another kitty that was a snuggle bunny. Buddha used to sleep with me every night and follow me around. He loved to burrow under the covers, go up my sweatshirt or sleep in the crook of my arm inside my fleece. Even though Bob is supposed to be "my" cat, he bonded with Glenn and seems to only tolerate me. This of course totally bummed me out. So Glenn did some research and found a local breeder or Oriental Shorthair kitties. We went today and had a look at the most beautiful kitties in the world! Their ears and snouts were totally amazing and of course I fell in love with one little boy in particular. His dad is a pure black Oriental and his mom is a white and seal point Oriental. So, without further ado, introducing Kenji! I will post more pics when he comes out from the inside of my fleece :)

Consider the Irony: > >Dan Rather, CBS News Anchor > > 1) given documents he thought were true > 2) failed to thoroughly investigate the facts > 3) reported documents to the American people as true to make his case > 4) when challenged, launched an investigation, quickly apologized > 5) substance of the bogus documents appears to have been true anyway > 6) cost to the world in lives and money: ZERO > 7) Bush camp conclusion: should be fired as CBS News Anchor > >George W. Bush, President of the United States > > 1) given documents he thought were true > 2) failed to thoroughly investigate the facts > 3) reported documents to the American people as true to make his case > 4) when challenged, stonewalled an investigation, never apologized > 5) substance of the bogus documents appears to have been: bogus > 6) cost to the world in lives and money: INCALCULABLE > 7) Bush camp conclusion: four more years
